Originally an Australian varietal, a cross between Uvedale St Germain pear and the Williams pear, the Packham pear was named after Charles Packham who first cultivated it in 1986. Packham pear has a wide base and is light green in color with smooth texture. Its creamy, sweet and aromatic flesh is perfect for salads or desserts.
