Under these circumstances, research and development was carried out to create an extremely early mandarin orange with a higher sugar content and better taste than existing varieties; Fast ripening among open-field cultivated Satsuma mandarin oranges, with sugar content is approximately 10-11℃ with thin skin and good taste.
This original variety was registered in May 2014, and only fruits that meet certain sugar content standards are shipped as “Hayamikan.” The trick to growing delicious Hayamikan is to maintain mulch.
