Japanese Aichi Rosso Fruit Tomato Gift Box (1kg)
$85.00Japanese Aichi Rosso Fruit Tomato Gift Box (1kg)
$85.00
“Rosso Tomatoes” are rare fruit tomatoes produced by just a few farmers hence are rarely sold in stores due to their extremely low production volume.
They are cultivated in a stressful environment with only the minimum necessity amount of water, and are grown slowly on the trees for about two weeks longer than ordinary tomatoes, till the tomatoes store plenty of nutrients when it reaches maturity. Tomato trees that grow in extreme conditions produce less than half of the fruit they normally would, resulting in tomatoes with an abnormally concentrated flavor.
The variety is Momotaro, which has a rich flavor and is characterized by a long-lasting freshness of both the skin and pulp. “Rosso Tomato” is not just a sweet fruit tomato, but also has a concentrated tomato aroma and richness of 8.5 and more (some even exceed 10 degrees), and is excellent when used as a sauce, dish toppings or by itself.
