Seriously, this Pluot variety was named the “Plapple” because it has an appearance and even a little texture and flavor as if it were a cross between an Apple and a Plum (which it isn’t since Pluots/Plumcots have plum and apricot parentage). The Plapple is quite firm, crisp yet juicy, very sweet with plenty of tartness tones too.
