Called 文旦 “Wendan”  in Mandarin, these pomelos are similar to grapefruits in size and boast a refreshing fragrance. Madou Wendan are harvested from old trees of 60 years of age. They are firm and fine in texture with lower water content than malaysian pomelos. However, they are almost 100% sweet and sweetness can be further enhanced when fully ripened.

Wendans can be placed at a well-ventilated place for about 7-10 days. After the moisture is absorbed by the skin, the appearance of Wendan will turn from bright green to yellowish-green. The sweetness of the pulps will increase, turning even softer and delicate in taste.
