Ruby Roman is a new “grape” that the Ishikawa Prefectural Agricultural Research Center’s Sand Dune Agricultural Experiment Station spent 14 years spent developing. It is exactly “dream grape” such as taste, color of the grain which is about twice as great as the gigantic peak, and vivid red color. It is the most expensive grapes in the whole world and only can be found and bred in Japan. Its highest auction record is up to 1.6 mil yen (S$15,000).

Each grape is the size of a ping-pong ball and gives off an alluring wine fragrance with intense sweetness. This makes it one of the most precious and coveted fruits due to its unique characteristic and limited supply. Tokushu [特秀] is given to grapes with at least 20g in weight (per grape) and with perfect bunch alignment, and G class is given to grapes with at least 30g in weight (per grape).
