Jumbo Japanese Ibaraki Chestnut
Ibaraki Prefecture is the largest producer of chestnuts in Japan in terms of both cultivated area and production volume, due to the geographical environment, the climatic environment with a large temperature difference between day and night, and the soil with good aeration, which makes the region very suitable for chestnut planting.
You can boil it as it is or cook with rice for a warm nutty flavor and desserts to enjoy the seasonal touch. Chestnuts can also be enjoyed as sweets by boiling them a few times to remove astringency before candied with syrup.
