Japanese House Tosa Buntan (Pomelo, X-Large)

Tosa Pomelo is said to be a native variety of Kagoshima, but as its name suggests, it is now a specialty of Kochi Prefecture. House Tosa is grown in greenhouse during late-November to mid-January after Crystal Pomelo (Suishou Buntan).  The outer skin is thick and contains a lot of seeds, but you can enjoy the refreshing taste of the back mouth with the refreshing acidity and higher sweetness of the crispy flesh compared to outfield-grown Tosa. In addition, it is a spring mandarin orange with a refreshing scent of yellow citrus fruits. 

It contains plenty of vitamin C and can be expected to have a beautiful skin effect. Citric acid, which is the source of sourness, is said to be effective in relieving fatigue by lowering the blood concentration of lactic acid, which is involved in performance deterioration during exercise. Pectin contained in the thin skin is said to have the effect of lowering blood cholesterol.
