Japanese Beni Shuho Sakuranbo (Cherry) Gift Box (Tokushu Grade)
$118.00
Beni Shuho is one of the popular cherry variety during its season, despite not as well known to its parent breed, Sato Nishiki. It is cross-breeded between “Sato Nishiki” and “Tenshi Nishiki” varieties, and is harvested 2 weeks right after Sato Nishiki. The difference between Beni Shuho and Sato Nishiki is that the Beni Shuho has a firmer body, generally larger in size and longer shelf life. Its high sweetness level (around 20 brix) is also not to be missed.
Tokushu (特秀) grade has higher level of sweetness and juice content. Sakuranbo season is available from May to July, and is one of the most-sought choice as gifts in Japan.
