Japanese Saikai Ajimaru Mikan (Mandarin Orange)


Nishikai Mikan, produced in the southern part of Sasebo City, ranks among the top in terms of taste and quality among the mandarin orange-producing areas in West Japan. The region is blessed with a warm climate overlooking Omura Bay and a rich natural environment. 

They are bred using organic fertilizers and oyster shells for the best nutrients that cultivate a rich citrus-flora fragrance. Mulch sheets are used to control the moisture content to create a rich and sweet product with concentrated flavor, which results in a sweetness of 12 degrees and above and pulpy juicy flesh.
