Japanese Premium Grade Shinko Pear (Large, 13.5% Brix High Sweetness)
Shinko Nashi is a pear variety borne and raised in Niigata. The last Japanese pear variety to be harvested in the season, Shinko can grows to a large size about 400g to 500g, has a very good-looking skin, and is characterized by a well-balanced acidity and sweetness. The flesh is soft and rich in fruit juice, and has excellent longevity.
Using optical sensor, it will be graded into different grades depending on sugar content, where 13% and above brix will be branded as the cream of the crop. The best time to eat them is from late October to November.
