Japanese Okayama Hakuou® White Peach
With a sweetness that surpasses that of the champion, Shimizu Hakuto (清水白桃), Hakuou® (白皇®) is expected to become a new flagship cultivar cultivated by Okayama Prefecture . This new cultivar was created by crossing the popular cultivar ‘Okayama Yume Hakuto (夢白桃)’ with ‘Hakurei (白麗)’, and it was named so with the meaning of aiming to surpass the champion Shimizu Hakuto and become the new king of white peaches.
The flesh is dense and firm, and the high sugar content of 16-17 degrees surpasses that of Shimizu White Peach. It also has the sweet and elegant scent of Okayama Yume Hakutou with rich dripping juice.
