Kiyomi Orange is a hybrid of “Miyakawa Hayao” and “Trovita Orange” from Satsuma Mandarin. It is often sold under the name of Kiyomi Tangor, and is the mother of “Dekopon,” “Harumi,” and “Setoka,” which have been in high consumption in recent years. It was registered as Tangor Norin No. 1 in 1979, and was named “Kiyomi” after Kiyomigata, a scenic spot that spreads out in the hometown.
