A cross between Saga No.14 (with strong Saga Honoka lineage) and Gunma’s Yayoihime, Ichigosan was created to be a truly ideal strawberry: beautifully bright in colour, glossy, well-shaped, and exceptionally sweet.

Its excellence has been so widely recognised that over 90% of Saga’s strawberry fields have now transitioned to this variety. It also offers large, elegant berries with juicy flesh and gorgeous sweetness, capturing the very essence of Saga’s craftsmanship and strawberry heritage.
