Japanese Date Hakutou White Peach (X-Large)
Date Hakutou (伊達白桃) is a late-ripening peach that is harvested from mid to late September. It is a variety that was discovered by chance on the rootstock of Hakuho in Date City, Fukushima Prefecture. Late varieties that are left longer on the vine absorb more nutrients and tend to produce larger fruit with higher sugar content.
Their flesh is firm yet full of juice and rich sweetness. As it ripens, the flesh softens and you can enjoy a variety of textures.
