Japanese Beni Temari Sakurabon (Cherry) Gift Box (Tokushu Grade)
$168.00
Beni Temari (紅てまり) is a relatively new variety that was registered as a variety in 2000 by crossing “Sato Nishiki” and “Big” at the Yamagata Prefectural Horticultural Experiment Station in 1980. The average size is large, usually 10g or more, and the sugar content is 20 degrees and above, which makes it sweet and juicy. The flesh is firmer than Sato Nishiki, hence it can last longer and it is popular for gifts in Japan.
Tokushu (特秀) grade has higher level of sweetness and juice content. Sakuranbo season is available from May to July, and is one of the most-sought choice as gifts in Japan.
