Zengcheng District of Guangzhou is located in the lower reaches of the Dongjiang River in the Pearl River Basin. It has a hot climate and abundant rainfall. Among the many varieties of Zengcheng lychees, the more distinctive and well-known ones include Crystal Ball, Guiwei, and Nuomici. In recent years, the latecomer variety that has taken the lead is Xianjinfeng lychee.

Xianjinfeng lychee is a late-ripening variety after Nuo Mi Zhi (Salathiel). It is bright red in color, has thick skin, tender flesh, a unique honey aroma and sweetness. The fruit has a long shelf life and is known as the “Queen of Lychees”.
