Ma Gui lychee (马贵荔) matures in mid-August in Guangdong and in September in Yunnan. Found in Magui Town, Gaozhou, Maoming, Guangdong, Magui lychee is a very late-ripening lychee variety, which matures 10 to 15 days later than the late-ripening lychee variety Huaizhi, and matures mostly around mid-August. It is often introduced in late-ripening areas, and is often introduced in Yingjiang, Yunnan, and Hejiang, Sichuan. The fruit is heart-shaped and bright red in color; the flesh is plump & chewy, juicy and sweet, with average to big seed size.
