Named after its dark brown color, Amela Rubins Chocolate tomato are a rare appearance – they are cultivated to have a higher sweetness degree than any other (10 brix and above, normal tomato are around 5 brix) and strong umami taste. It also has a special “strawberry-like” fragrance exteriorly.
It can be said to be a mixture between Amela Rubins Red (with its strong umami) and Rubins Gold (with its rich sweetness), and are extremely low in production.
