$20.00–$148.00Japanese Fukuoka Hayamikan (Mandarin Orange)
$20.00–$148.00
As the name suggests, “Hayamikan” is the earliest unshu mandarin to be shipped. These are extremely rare early mandarin oranges grown only in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Speaking of very early mandarin oranges, they are mildly sweet. Under these circumstances, research and development was carried out to create an extremely early mandarin orange with a higher sugar content and better taste than existing varieties; Fast ripening among open-field cultivated Satsuma mandarin oranges, with sugar content is approximately 10-11℃ with thin skin and good taste.
This original variety was registered in May 2014, and only fruits that meet certain sugar content standards are shipped as “Hayamikan.” The trick to growing delicious Hayamikan is to maintain mulch. In mulch cultivation, a mulch sheet is placed under the tangerine tree to control moisture. By reducing the water content of mandarin oranges, they retain water and become sweeter, producing delicious mandarin oranges.
It is characterized by high sugar content and low acidity and is said to be of the highest quality among the mandarin oranges that can be harvested at this time of year.
