Japanese Sapporo Red Muskmelon
Grown in Hakodate, “Sapporo Red” is a red meat muskmelon which was cultivated in 1990 by crossing “Andes” with “IK x Earls” variety. It’s flesh is deep orange in color with a strong sweetness of about 15 degrees sugar content, and is thick and firm in nature. When ripened, it is juicy and smooth in texture, with a sweet lingering aroma.
