西王母 (Seioubo) is an extremely late-season variety and large in size, usually weighing from 350g to 600g. Also translated as “Queen Mother of the West”, which is probably named after a heavenly princess in Chinese mythology, who has a peach garden where “medicines for immortality” and “peaches of the longevity” are made.

The inner flesh is milky white in color, has firm yet juicy flesh (despite being a late-season harvest), is high in sweetness and fragrance that emits even from the exterior.

特秀 (Tokushu) grade has a sweetness level of 13 degree and above, which is the representative of rich sugar content and excellent melting texture with over-flowing refreshing juice.
