Sakura is late-ripening peach variety that was developed by Mr. Sakurai Shohachi of Yamanashi Prefecture when he crossed the Kawanakajima White Peach with the Chikuma Peach and selected the resulting product.

It’s a large white peach weighing 350 to 450g with dense flesh and a high sugar content, but its most distinctive feature is its crisp, firm texture that will slightly soften when fully ripened. This is an irresistible variety for those who like firm peaches.
