Nishikai Mikan, produced in the southern part of Sasebo City, ranks among the top in terms of taste and quality among the mandarin orange-producing areas in West Japan. The region is blessed with a warm climate overlooking Omura Bay and a rich natural environment.

They are bred using organic fertilizers and oyster shells for the best nutrients that cultivate a rich citrus-flora fragrance.
