Dried persimmons are one of the specialties of Sado Island. The persimmons have been carefully cultivated over a year. After harvesting, the skins are carefully peeled, and after going through the drying process, the “Sado Anpo dried persimmons” are finally finished.
Persimmons are limited to Okesa persimmons from the Hamochi area located in the southern part of Sado Island. It has a soft and fluffy texture, and the juice is very sweet and juicy.
